I heard they have been raising funds by rejecting visa applicants quite a few times lately..so that they have enough money to fund the new embassy.....after all it comes to poor applicants again!

Now, US Embassy can focus on better thing. They did a good thing by constructing the building, so that they can provide more confidence to their staffs. Otherwise, terrrorists like Maoists will continue to target US Embassy and its employees. Maoists killed Mr. Pokharel, a security guard at US Embassy. That is probably what I believe they (Maoists) are regretting for.

It is a new beginning.

Maybe it is just a big building and nothing more. Maybe they needed a bigger space in Nepal to reciprocate 150,000 Nepalese in the US.

sangfroid
So what exactly is your point? The picture you posted, is that because of America? Did they do to us?
I cannot understand our mentality, so what if they want to build a fancy building, they have the money from their government, unlike our government...come take a look at the Nepali Embassy in DC.
why do we blame other for our own failure? Why?

Last time I went to Nepali Embassy in DC, it was like a typical government office back home - stinky, dusty, messy with stacks of paper everywhere. I asked to use the bathroom and the clerk there suggested I not use it because it is too dirty, hmmm... just like back in Nepal.

I mean the uninhabited himalayas are a perfect launching pad for their spy planes to keep an eye on both our neighbours(esp the arrogant Chinese Govt competing with the US for natural resources in various parts of the world along with meddling with US interests).

i heard they have made big underground rooms and have kept really big bunkers loaded with weapons( maybe) and other shit. I think its just to be secure against india and china. My grand dad made the pitch inside the building compound so i heard from him.
