Seems the Yankees were forced to take u-turn following the recent Chinese stance. Certainly the Chinese ambassador’ posture was something very perceptible. Very vocal and political, a rare sight. The Chinese touched the issue of sovereignty (China identifies Nepal’s sovereignty with the Palace), and admitted its displeasure over the long dragged ‘disorder’ in its neighbor country. Whereas the Americans not only wish to have an independent territory in between of the two Asians giants as or for contingency measure, but also would not like the Chinese infiltration in Nepal as that of Burma.
