Love korean movies too...... one of my favourites is: My Sassy Girl ..... if you guys didnt know, the same director made Windstruck which is supposedly the prequel to My Sassy Girl .....OldBoy was awesome too....' Zinda' is the bollywood version of it.

3-iron: the guy character doesn't say a word, the girl character says two sentences... great acting and movie!!!

i think hollywood loves the actress from MY SASSY girl because its remaking 3 of her films and have already remade 1. remade IL MARE to THE LAKE HOUSE and they are remaking My sassy girl, Daisy, and maybe windstruck. they are also remaking THE TALE OF TWO SISTERS, oldboy, the poisoning, the host???, failan, and many others...


i usually get the movies from www.warez-bb.org using rapidshare, if i can't find them there then i use torrents, and if i can't find it anywhere then i use EMULE... i'm pretty sure that i will buy most of them on dvds when i have enough money

Hollywood has been making terrible movies lately from my opinion. What annoys me is that because of their lack of creativity in a good storyline, they go overseas and buy the copyrights from the top selling Asian movies so they can remake it. Now its just not Hollywood I'm blaming. It's the genius behind it. But the point is: Are the remakes even great as the original? Why not just show the original and put subtitles? Obviously, not to be stereotypical, but Americans don't like reading subtitles, its not that difficult is it?! Sure Holly wood benefits from this, and the Asian producers benefit a bit, but at a much lower rate. Examples of movies that have been remade/or will be remade are:

The reason why I dislike the idea of remaking Asian Top Movies is because it simply steals away the originality of those movies and the time spent to create it. Can't Hollywood producers come up with their own movies?! Its about time for new directors and producers in the Hollywood scene. Another reason is, the remakes doesn't have the same settings and social circumstances. It loses its beauty and aesthetic.

I agree a remake of "My Sassy Girl" will not be as great as the original. For those who wants a real entertainment have to watch Korean My sassy Girl.

Another awesome romantic comedy movie from the director of "MY SASSY GIRL","WINDSTRUCK" everyone says its prequel of MSG.It makes sense that ending part of WINDSTRUCK is the begining part of MY SASSY GIRL. almost made me cry....... LOL

windstruck is not a prequel tho. the director just threw in his previous work to bring back some memories? but ya, there are barely any connections between this movies...

Hey Shakeen, I've watched 3 Iron ... thought it was good....Sad movie, which I thought was good too *although i thought it was a lil trying too hard to make it sad). Windstruck and My Sassy girl, althought the mathematics does not really match up well, the director has left some minor clues to make it seem like a prequel. I think anybody who liked My Sassy Girl would love Windstruck too althought the former is better.

In My Sassy girl, some things I noticed:

Throughout the movie, they never say what the name of the girl is.
The old man the girl sees towards the end of the movie next to the time capsule, is supposedly GwenWoo (i dont know how you spell his name) travelling back in time after he gets old. If you look closely throughout the movie, you can see the old man in various locations. One of them is when they meet for the first time in the train, the old man is seen in the train. (supposedly gwenwoo travelling through time, revisiting his memorable moments)

On all the korean movies I've watched I liked Sassy gurl the most....thought it was really well made, simple and full of everything.

I recently watched a Korean movie called: Sex is Zero

I had never laughed that hard since watching American Pie.

Not exactly a family movie, but it is side-splitting hilarious.

sex is zero was quite funny but the second half was pretty melodramatic... i love the part where he can't find his gel and uses strawberry... this movie was grosser than american pie, the part where guy jerks off on the frying pan and makes it look like an egg. nasty, and the other guy ends up eating it... hahahha
