Kodak - 12X optical zoom
Fuji - 10X optical zoom
Same megapixel and price difference of only $14

Which brand do you recommend?

Can you please share your experience of using these two brands?

Which model are comparing ?

For me I prefer Fuji as it has the best noise control compare to major brand like Canon and Nikon.

Thanks i_nepali; I wasn't sure about fuji because I remember reading some negative comments about this particular model.

The models are Kodak EasyShare Z712 and Fujifilm FinePix S700BK.

Can you please share some + or - points about these two models? or if you remember reading some review about it.

The only thing that's concerning me now is its weight; it's bit bulky, isn't it?

Thanks alot for replying.

noise controls dont matter, for a price range u have its a good idea to buy a olympus evolt 500, trust me that camera is GOOOD! i wanted to buy that but got a D80 instead. you can find so many interchangeable lenses if u wanna go pro later!

Noise control one of the most important factor which determines the quality of the photo for me and many other people.

Sure, if you one is thinking of going professional, one should buy DSLR which would allow the flexibility of the use of multiple lenses for various situation. And as far as my knowledge about photography is concern, if one is buying DSLR than the best brand would be Nikon as there are many lenses which are comptabile with it.

So far have used Nikon D70S, Sony DSC F828, Sony DSC F717 and Fujifilm F30. These days I have given up on big cameras and instead been monitoring the price of F31FD, once the price goes down, I am gonna get it.

Gahugoro, I will get back to you later.

Regards,
Rai
