I've heard that your credit score would be lower down or your credit history would be damage if 1)you have many credit cards and you don't use them all in a regular basis 2) you changed your contact address (bank credit card addres) frequnetly. hey experts how true it is ?does anyone have any experience ? suggestion ?

Ok this is all I know, Its not now many credit cards you have but whats your overall credit limit you have that matters Its what type of credit cards you have matters, some dont report to the beaurau so thats bad for you If you dont use credit card for a long period of time they might stop reporting to your beaurau and even decrease your limit and increase your APR Try not having creditcards choked up, ie definitely not around 90% of limit coz thats bad indicator Donot miss minimum payments to any of them, even 1 late payment may result very bad Thats all for now will add more, hope helped

heres the trick for a great credit score......... having a revolving balance in your credit card in the ratio of 80/20 is the best 80% available credit and 20% used balance......or simply........if you have 1000 credit limit..........and you have used 200 and you have 800 to spend ......keep it that way in all the credit cards and your credit will be in the upper 700s...dont be 80% to pay and 20% remaining balance to use.....thats bad.....hope this answers your questions.

and yes always pay on time and try to pay more than the minimum. and dont apply on every other offer you get because the more you get denied the more your credit score goes down.

Some of the advices are fine but cant but it aint professionally explained. Here is a proper explanation to your question. 1)you have many credit cards and you don't use them all in a regular basis Answer: First off if you have too many credit card and you keep on getting more it hampers your credit. Because in the eyes of a lender of the score model you are looking for more credit by applying new credit cards. If you apply for more credit card the number of time inquiry made to your credit reports increases which in return decreases your credit score. While forming your credit score basically most of the main three credit beuros in the USA (in case you didnt know Equifax, Experian, Transunion) have set their credit model so that your credit score is developed looking at the variety of credit you are using.. for example if you are having lets say 4 credit cards it's better to have a mortgage account or other kind of loan that would definately help your credit rather then applying for another credit card. About not using your credit card well that really dosent matter. After close observation of all three major beauros for 2-3 years i've noticed that all mojor credit card companies report everymonth to the beauros. For instace discover and american express are quite late to report may be more then a month.. while Capitalone and CITI cards are very prompt. If you dont use your credit card that fine.. but be wise and use them and pay them off every month this shows that you are capeable of paying your bills and managing all your credit account on time. If you have many credit cards when you apply for loan lenders look into your available credit and they might jack up your interest as you have the capacity to spend more so do consider that as well. 2) you changed your contact address (bank credit card addres) frequnetly. Answer: My intial answer to your question would be "NO" roughly speaking. But in long terms in might affect you. Lets say if you keep changing your address frequently and now you apply for credit card or may be any type of loan. Lenders wont give your full consideration as you arent that stable and are moving due to "Unkown" resons. May be you dont have a stable job etc this creates a little chill in lenders spines thus they might not consider you for the best rates available.. So dont keep changing you address too much. I hope i tried to answer your question as clearly as possible. If you have any question about your credit report your score, how to manage your finances... Just write to me and i would try my best to provide a vivid explanation. Best of luck.
