you need internet explorer and thats it to download youtube video. Here is how:
1. Watch any of your favorite video in youtube.
2. Watch it completely, so that the browser downloads the video in your temporary internet files. (If the red bar hits the end, the browser has completely downloaded the page.)
3. Click on tools => Internet options.
4. Click on settings under temporary internet files block.
5. A new window will pop up, click on view files.
6. A new explorer windows will pop up. Click on size to short the files from biggest to smallest. The biggest file is probably the video that you watched. Copy and paste the video to your desktop. The file doesn't have and extension, so you need to go to the explorer window (run=> explorer.exe or just click on documents and click on tools => folder options => view => and unchecked the "hide extensions for known files if it has already been checked."
7. Go back to your desktop and change the file that you have copied to your video_name.flv
8. use a flash player (download it from
http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=flash%20player&tag=srch and play the video or use any software to convert your file to other formats.

1. open up firefox. type "about:config" in the address bar.
2. In filter box type "network" and hit enter.
3. scroll down to the half page and find => network.http.pipelining and network.http.pipelining.maxrequests.
4. Double click on network.http.pipelining to set it to true.
5. Double click on network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and set the value from 4 to 10.
6. Close and restart your firefox browser.
