I am here visit visa. I passed from nepal  BN (nurshing). I wanna give RN exam from newyork center but how do i apply. Anybody can help me or give the address where i can apply for exam and how can i and where i have to send paper.  I have now 1.5 month visa remaining. PLS

I am not sure you will be ready to give the exam in 1.5 months. Send me email what you are looking for.

First contact Immigration lawyer ASAP, their answers are legitimate.
Just a simple note, try to enroll some classes that helps you to prepare for the exam. Like KAPLAN and other similar programs will help you to extend your visa and may be more. Browse internet and contact them. I heard they might provide you F1 Status, before 9/11 it used to (it is just a hear and say not authentic).

Why are you going to Nepal now?? you'll have to be back again if you want to work here as a nurse.

Instead, do the following things:

1. immediately file to extend your visa for at least three months . It's better if you file an extension for a six month period, that way, you'll have plenty of time left to do different things to obtain a nursing license.

2. find a good immigration attorney and discuss the case. he/she will be able to accurately answer your questions and show you the way to go further. I have heard that in California, it is easier for people like yourself to obtain a US nursing lic and file for working papers. I'm not sure how it goes there, but I know that a lot of nepali people have been obtaining nursing lics and filing their cases from hospitals in California

3. check the website provided by one of the noble guys above for further process. also call or e-mail the people there to get a clear picture of how to evaluate your foreign nursing degree and how to apply and take the US nursing lic exams. ask them about the time required to complete the entire process, the expenses that will incur, and ask them about the step-by-step process to do so. I'm sure that they will help you out in this matter.

4. i also had some people i know who ha BS nursing degrees from Nepal. One of them, she first got her Nepal's nursing degree evaluated here and then took the US nursing lic exam. she passed the exam and then she got the nursing certificate to practise it here. she currently works as a nurse in a local hospital

You may go to kaplan institute, they will maintain your status, they will prepare for you to be ready to take the exam next day when your documents get verified.
The process takes atleast 6 months.
