Dont worry saku, Have your received a receipt from USCIS? I dont know where is your service center? Check the service center and check the processing date for your application through the uscis website. They should should sent you a notice or something stating that your application is processed or not? Have you moved recently or is the address that you applied is different then where you live rite now? There are many things that could affect your process. I would say you can call the costumer service of USCIS and inquire about it. Again dont worry, everything would be aight. and good luck..

Saku did you call to the USCIS ? Because if you call there they will tell you what is going on with your OPT application. Or you can just check the status of your OPT online using your LIN no.( You can see this in your receipt) . Still it will be better if you call USCIS. Best of luck Have a great day.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have applied at Texas service center and i do have checked the status online. It says case received and pending. I have not changed my address. Last week i called the customre service. They said my case has taken more than estimated processing time. So they did service request. But they are saying it might take as long as 45 days. My company can not wait sooo long. I can not start working since they are asking for EAD card. Is there any other way????? Or i just have to wait. I dont know how they process the application. My company sent them fax requesting expedite service. They did not send them any reply. Can i schedule an appointement. Its real hard to reach them. I went to texas service center but they did not let me inside.......

I dont know why it takes longer in Texas Service center. One friend of mine got his OPT approved in 4 and half month. If you have not received any approval notice in 90 days, then you can go to Local USCIS office and they will issue you a temporary EAD approval. Note that, the day counts from the day that mentioned on the receipt and there should not be any change on your application status, that means, if your application status is "appliction received and Pending" for 90 days, then you can get a temporary approval from your local USCIS office. Hope this will help you.
