For most of the major carriers (even for international flights) the tickets are electronic.
If the reservation has multiple carriers (except those carriers who have code share agreements), or airports (country/Immigration) that don't/cant accept electronic tickets, and few other exceptions, you will most likely have an electronic tickets. Commonly called e-tickets.
I am pretty positive your reservation will have a Paper ticket.
I am assuming you are trying to reserve from within the 48 continuous states in the US.
You can expect to receive your tickets within 2-3 business days, once the airline issues you a ticket number.
Orbitz will also charge a separate paper processing fee, besides their service fee. The price of the ticket is directly charged to you card by the airline that own the reservation (the one which issues the ticket number)
People use Orbitz very often for international travel. I havnt come across any Reservation going to Nepal personally, but I shouldn't think it would be any different.
If you found a good deal on Orbitz, I would recommend you to go ahead with it. They have superior customer service *wink* *wink*
I apologize if my reply was ambiguous, and do take it with a grain of salt. But if you have any specific question, feel free to ask. Their website is also a great source of information.
Also if you dont mind, can you tell me what route you picked, the departure times and connection and the price before and after tax. If you dont want to, its absolutely fine with me.
