Hi Guys,

My parents are very old and sick and they will be flying from USA to Kathmandu Nepal through Bangkok. Since they couldn't get the connected flight, they have to stay in Bangkok for 3 days..Oct 21, 22 and 23.

This is kind of very urgent since my father is Kidney transplant patient. They will be carrying some luggages which he shouldn't lift. Any help/information regarding their arrangement would be much appreciated.

They would like to stay in Nepalese community in Thailand. Could you please guide us? I heard some city in Thailand where most of Nepalse live...Anybody by anychane know the name of that city?

Your help would be much appreiciated. Please help!

Thanks in advance!

Rajput..

I hope your parents are flying via Bangkok. Most of the Nepali in Thailand are Burmish Nepali and they are all idiot and don't wanna speak to you in Nepali languages. There are lots in Pukhet but it is far from Bangok, Best suggestion for you is, book a hotel near airport, there are lots of them, arrange airport pick up or within the airport there is a Limo service and they probably charge about 600 bhat (1000 Rs) to go to the hotel. If you could phone the airline as soon as possible and tell them about your dads condition, they will arrange buggy from US airport and even in Bangkok airport they have very good facility for disable people. On their arrival buggy will carry their luggage to the limo desk and limo service will take care for the rest. Arriving in the hotel, porter will look after it. Do the same on their way out of Bangkok too. Believe me New Airport service in Bangkok is way too good and the staff are very friendly.

This is the only option I can think of. I would not trust any Nepali in Bangkok, I got ripped off big time during my visit this August by a fellow Nepali (Burmeli)

write to someone (mostly students) in AIT. Students might be able to help. I am not sure about the address but the ait nepalese society's e-mail address is aitns@ait.ac.th (not 100% sure; check ait.ac.th and try searching there). There are a lot of staffs from Nepal working there as well. Good luck!
