Home Ministry warns of action against flag-burners
The
Home Ministry has issued a statement, Wednesday, warning of stern
action against those found involved, directly or indirectly, in burning
the national flag.
The Ministry issued the
statement in the wake of reports of cadres of Janatantrik Terai Mukti
Morcha (JTMM-Goit) burning national flags in some parts of Siraha and
Saptari districts.
Demanding a separate Madhes
state and denouncing the national flag, the JTMM cadres burnt them in
Siraha, Saptari, Dhanusha and Mahottari districts, say reports.
The Ministry has said that it will not tolerate such actions that desecrate the symbol of national unity.
The
Ministry has appealed to Nepalis belonging to every region, religion
and community to come together to uphold the sovereignty, and
