Jwala Singh withdraws truce; one killed in Rautahat
Although
he had earlier issued a statement saying that his organisation will
observe truce till Tihar and Chhathh festival, Jwala Singh, the chief
of Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM) has announced resumption of
armed activities.
Jwala Singh has stated that
armed struggle will resume but actions like bandhs, strikes and
chakkajam would not be imposed till festival period.
Earlier, Jwala Singh had announced truce during Dashain festival since October 11.
The
decision to withdraw truce has come on the day when Minister of State
for General Administration and a member of government talks team Ram
Chandra Yadav had appealed to all Terai outfits to come for dialogue.
Meanwhile, in Rautahat district cadres of Jwala Singh's JTMM shot to death an unarmed civilian on Friday night.
A
team led by its local leader Barud Singh killed Mukti Karki of
Dumariya-7, Nagarpur of the district. The JTMM district secretary
