Hi Guys,
I got my H1 B approval this year which applied from this October. Along with that I also got I-94 which has same number which I had in my Port Of Entry I-94 card. My employer says I don't have to go out of USA (to Mexico or Canada)just only for stamping. Whenever I want to go Nepal and comeback at that time only I need visa to come US. Is it true ? Obviously my visa is expired now and I am here only on the basis of this H1B status.
Somethimes I am confused about this stamping thing also . Can any expert explain this please?

Yess, that is true. until and unless you have a document of your petition being approved you do not need to stamp it. But u cannot leave a country anyhow. U are legal in this country without your stamp. Your employer are right but if u need to leave a country u cannot re-enter without the stamp.

Thank you Siwani ji. From your reply I got that I don't have to go Canada or Mexico for stamping. But what do you mean by ".... u cannot leave a country anyhow"? Just curious.
Thank you again for suggestion.

You cannot leave the country means if u leave the country u wont be able to re-enter and for reentry you have to get your H1-B visa stamed. So if u wanna go outside the country u have to get it stamped and then only u can return back...
