Nepal Oil Corporation Wednesday hiked the price of petrol for the second time in less than two months.
A meeting of the board of directors of the state-run oil monopoly today decided to hike the price of petrol by almost seven rupees.

As per the formal correspondence made by the NPC with the Nepal Petroleum Dealers’ Association (NPDA), the retail price of petrol in the capital has been hiked to Rs 80 while retail price of petrol would stand at Rs 82 and 25 paisa in the far-western region owing to the transportation cost.

Before the latest decision, petrol had cost Rs 73 and 50 paisa.

Those who hike the prices dont need to buy petrol for themselves because nepalese are paying for them and they utilize the national properties for their luxurious life and every facilities they can utilies.

Rs 80 per liter.   that means,

3.78*80 = 302.4 Rs per gallon, which is equivalent to 4.73 dollars per gallon ( exchange rate 63.94 Rs = 1 dollar).  so, we are paying lot more than what we are paying here in usa ( approx 3.10 per gallon).  we earn in Rs and pay more for gas than those earn in dollars.....
