CLOVERFIELD

Seeing the trailers of this movie, it was kinda confusing and therefore I was not quite sure whether to watch this movie in a theatre or not. But the reviews and the positive response that it has got from its early screening at Michigan State University makes it a must watch movie (atleast for me) when it releases on the 18th of this month.

I'd better stay at home and watch Garfield than go to the theater and watch Cloverfield . I'm so sick of these stupid monster movies. Good luck to you though! I'm sure the movie will have you on the edge of your seat.

Well finally gotta a chance to watch the film,

CLOVERFIELD is not only an uncoventional monster movie but I can very well say that it is not a monster movie at all. With huge expectations I went to watch this movie and must say I was extremely satisfied. The whole movie is shot with a hand-held camera by one(or many) of the characters itself. Yes, there were a few (maybe those who are afraid even at the sight of rollacoaster) who were disturbed by the shaky camera movements but I must say it is not that bad as it is made out to be. The chaotic camera movements actually had me deeply engrossed by what was happening on screen and I felt that I was a part of the experience itself. Pretty much, it does full justice to the First Person view movie that was last seen in the Blair Witch Project.

The story was ordinary, like any other horror/thriller movie where the characters want to escape death. But the acting by its prinicipal characters was really good which heavily contributed in making the movie look real. The monster, although we are not treated to exclusive clear scenes of it (bar one), is okay. According to me the ending was simply extraordinary and kept the spirit of the film alive. It will take most by surprise and many accustomed to a typical Hollywood thriller ending will almost certainly be dissapointed .

After watching I am Legend which was pretty aweful, I would give Cloverfield 9/10.

I'd recommend watching this one in a theater as watching it online or even in a DVD later will only take this movie's magic away and you probably will not enjoy it as much.

How come if Nepali or some other country movie made with hand held camera is bad, when it's hollywood, then even a fart smell like flower. Overhyped
