If none of the above interests you then you can always go on a safari/trek etc...

well there's lot of things to do in nepal.

go to starbucks for breakfast, McDonald for lunch.

you can go to border bookstore to read some books when you have time.

for dinner you can go to restaurants, chinese, indians, italian or french. bring your girlfriend cause it's be nice after so long separation.

Allow me to make your holiday plan.

First week- Reunion

  •  you will be completely overwhelmed with the things around you if you are going back home after a long time.spend  your first week within the familiarity of  home, finish all your social obligations.
  • devour the home made delicacies.
  • try out the maila dai's momos, saila dai's fokso fry and all other local food you always craved for.remember  momos are always safe to eat!
  • drop in to bagalamukhi on tuesdays or thursdays to catch up with country's new & old  generation.
  • re-live your life, submerge yourself into the world where you belong to. take a few nostalgic trips down   the memory lane.try to work on your past if you have any, try to erase them.it definitely works. saves you the from the expensive therapy sessions.

Second week- Unleash!

  • you are in nepal, you must be badly missing the home grown grass, the famous g-haunt. gather some buddies  if there are any left, if not you could always turn to your younger cousins. they would definitely provide you with the latest updates. head out to local dadas Chobhar, Changu, Shivapuri.... find a best place to smoke -say Bungamati. inhale the sweet smoke  under the nepalese sky, turn towards the messy concrete cluster called kathmandu and scream at the top of your lungs-Jai Sambhoo! don't forget to listen to your own echo.that's pashupatinath answering to your call.
  • try some extreme sports- white water rafting, or make a reservation at the last resort(  a group of two or more is always recommended). try bungee jumping, go high on narcotic bliss. Be nobody but yourself for a day or two!

Third Week- Cleansing Week

  • Pack your bag-pokhara, jomsom or get a glimpse of Rara lake(charter a chopper- this place is worth visiting, depends on your budget  though), or you can go to the Nagarkot to watch the city wake up.
  • rediscover yourself in nature's serenity,
  • drive straight towards the north of the city, across the chinese chakrapath and enter the gates of Muhanpokhari. bipasana calling, yeah!

have a nice trip!

hey guys, thanks for the info. i might be going to nepal + darjeeling + sikkim for 6 weeks with my parents and sister. so i will be visiting most of the temples and other family oriented things. hopefully they will pay for everything :D because i have no money.

LAST RESORT sounds interesting. i m willing to do rafting and trekking but not bunjee jumping.
isn't rara lake the biggest lake in nepal? how can one get there?

this trip is more of a SPIRITUAL JOURNEY than anything else. i m trying to find new meanings in nature and within myself about things that doesn't make sense. hopefully, i will be smarter than i m :-) with my analytical thinking...

by the way, i m going to eat lot of food in nepal. I LOVE NEPALI CUISINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
