Dear Nepalese from all over the world. Lately, I have been asking myself if I am proud to be a Nepali. If  Mt. Everest, my culture, beautiful rivers, high mountains, fertile Terai make me proud, then I am very proud. But, Are americans, proud of Hoover Dam, their culture (Thanks giving), Missori river, or being 3rd largest country in the world?

I don't believe only these things make Americans proud, I think they are proud of their leaders, government, their judiciary system, Law. Even President is under law here. Wouldn't  this be nice if Gyanedra, Girija, Prchanda, Madav were scared of law in Nepal?

Should I be proud of my country?

Should I be proud of my country???? The answer to this question depends to the person who is answering it and people vary by their ideas and thoughts. But I am certainly proud to have been born in Nepal. I don't have any concrete reasons to say why, but I just am. I am proud of my mother and father and I am proud of my motherland.

Happy Face, what do you call country? Country is just not a land. Country is a society, where one must have right to exist, speak, go to work, open business, drive, go to school without hurting or bothering anyone.

how can u be proud when you don't feel safe there? 3 years I went Nepal people were scared of  Maowadi, Last year I went people were scared of Madhesi. And these scary people going rule the country. Can u imagine. After killing thousand of peaceful civilians, they are ruling over them. What do you expect from them??

When people especially khaire talk about our beautiful culture, our family values i feel proud to be a Nepali.

Sanskrit is considered oldest language on earth. In the past people in Nepal and surrounding used to speak in sanskrit, when people talk about this i feel proud to be a part of that world. When people talk about our old Grantha's such as the famous beed, ramayana, mahabharata i feel proud. People in that part of the world used to recite poems in Sanskrit at times when the Khaires did not know anything. I feel proud to be a Nepali.

But on the other hand, looking at the present scenario of our country and the so called cruel mentality of my fellow countryman. I feel ashamed of saying i am a Nepali and i am from Nepal. When people ask me where i am from? i ask them where do you think i am from? Most of them say are you from Phillipines.

Well, my brother came back from Nepal last Friday and he told me  that  there is 6 hrs. loadhsheding per day in Nepal.I am not proud of that ,are you?..I just met one of my friends in MSN and she missed the board exam ..Do you know the reason?... B'cuz of aandolan.. She could not reach the exam center in time due to aandolan ..The exam was not postponed .. I am not proud of that , are you?....  Nepal is the second richest country in water  sources but why Nepal, the very country, has to suffer from loadsheding ... And Did Melamchi ever reach Kathmandu?.Why Nepal.the very country, do not have sufficient water for its people.....I am not proud of that , are you?

Of course, I am proud of Mount Everest ,our culture,Gautam Buddha and so on...We, Nepali people, are the  most sincere, hospitable, and trustworthy people to the world.I am so proud of it.Whenever I meet foriegn people who has been to Nepal, I get a lot of compliments about our culture and hospitality. But are we sincere to ourselves?Do we have a good co-ordination among ourselves?Do we allow reasonable margin for each other's feelings and ideas?.No, we don't .. We fight in ANA for no reason...let alone the aggressiveness in the country...I think time has come to  have a clear vision of other's ideas and then take initiatives...If we take initiatives, the momentum is there to make a chage otherwise our  country is gonna be torn apart.

I completely agree law should bound everyone, everyone means no one is left out, otherwise it is  like a  revolving chair and everyone is trying to get the power to make a law..In other words, everyone is trying to bound a law.Nepali people have their work cut out to make postive changes in Nepal.

Damn... its getting long..I disappear.

She missed her board exam .Do you know the reason ?...Well, cuz of aandolan.. She could not reach the exam center due to aandolan .. The exam was not postponed.. I am not proud of that , are you?..Nepal, being the second richest country in water sources do not have even sufficient drinking water for its people..I am not proud of that, are you.

Undoubtedly, I am proud of Mount everest,Gautam Buddham , our culture and so on.We, Nepali people, are arguebly the most sincere, reliable, and hospitable people in the world. Whenever I meet any foriegn people who has been to Nepal, I get a lot of compliments for our hospitality and culture. But are we sincere to ourselves?do we allow a reasonable margin for each other's feelings and ideas?do we have a good co-ordination  with each other?..I am afraid to say that we don't.. We even fight in ANA ..let alone the aggresiveness in the country.. I think time has come not to rationalize yourself and have a clear vision of others feelings and ideas .. Yes,time has come to take some initiatives and carry on with that  momentum and that momentum will make a positivechange  in the county.

Thats right , law is needed to bound everyone , everyone means absoultely no one is left out  ..otherwise its like a revolving chair where everybody is trying to be in power and make law.In other words, everybody is trying to bound law against the momentum I was talking about..Personally for me , no matter how dark the tunnel is there is still a ray of hope..

Yes, we are proud to be Nepalese! ...This is the time to prove it ....It is  the test of character for Nepalese especially for people in power..

Its getting long..I disappear!
