.

I’m planning to visit Nepal next month.  My flight is via London about 9 hours transit.  Here is my situation.  My visa status is H1 but the visa in my passport is my previous visa F1 which is now expired.  I’ve H1 approval letter from USCIS.  I’m not planning to go outsie the airport.  Do I still need their Direct Airside Transit Visa?  Any advice will be a great.

Thanks.

Thanks Xbox.  I checked their web and they asked for original H1 paper for visa.  Is it safe to sent?

u will just be fine. u dont need any transit visa if you have original papers with you i.e your h1 approved letter from the uscis. In the London airport they dont even check your papers. They hand you the transit card and just before boarding they just check your passport to check your identity. Your passport will be checked here in US when departing and if you show them your H1 approved letter, u will just be fine.
