Do u think we are loaded! We all are students and it's too much for us to afford. Lots of families live in DC area..so family of 4 if they do prior registration, it will cost them 80 dollars..that's way too expensive. Come on try to be reasonable.
By the way, are u the guys who organized the convention where people had to pay 30 bucks for uncooked food. I wonder if there's another trick in this one...announcing it as unplugged and when we go there the music system are all crapy. I thought u guys learnt a lesson from the convention (people complaining about how expensive it was) but no!

Namrata ji, I wish they could do it for less. I believe, it is their sandard rate throughout the US. There are 8 artists who came all the way from Nepal for this tour and brought their instruments along. I am sure they have huge expense to cover. There are some DC community members who what to see them perform again before they leave for CA.
I have good news for you. 1974AD will also be present at the Bhanu Jayanti event on Sunday which is completly free and the organizer, INLS will provide Nepali food to all participants for free also. The band plans to bring all their instruments but since there are a lot of activites planned for that day i.e. Volleyball Competition, Tribute to Bhanu, Poem Recital, INLS general assembly meeting, election etc., they may not have time to perform many songs. I am hoping they will play some samples for the participants. For those community members who can not afford Saturday's full concert, they can come to the Bhanu Jayanti picnic with all of their family and friends and possibly listen to songs by 1974AD and Kaligandaki Entertainment as well as participate on other activites. There is near by playground next to pavilion to keep your kids occupied.

Puru

What about the "nepali mosh pit" ..... any chance we can dance without being interrupted. No fun without dancing and singing along to the tunes we have learnt to love and hated to miss for so long!

Either way, I am gonna there although I am 6 hours away. Hope to meet some more of the familiar group who simply refuse to grow like myself.

Junkie,
Yes. I am looking forward to dance the night away...people can dance as long as rest of the audience are ok. Although this is on a fixed seat auditorium, there is some space for dancing.
Glad to hear you are coming to join us from 6 hours away....welcome to GMU..
