Get ready to get 'exposed'!!!! HAHAHA.. After the successful completion of testing at Phoenix airport
in Arizona, it's now getting rolled out at JFK and LA international
airports. It's not that scary as it sounds though. And you have the
option to choose pat-down over this, if you're not comfy to show them 'all' you got HAHAHA. More airports to use 'whole body imaging' machines From Mike M. Ahlers CNN
WASHINGTON (CNN)
-- Some travelers at key airports in New York and Los Angeles may be
put through machines that see through clothing and provide a detailed
image of a person's body beginning later this week.
It's the first expansion of the program since the machines were first put to the test in Phoenix, Arizona. The "whole body imaging" machines have sparked complaints from privacy advocates.
But the Transportation Security Administration says that it has taken
steps to protect individuals' privacy and that 90 percent of the travelers in Phoenix preferred the imaging machine to a pat-down. ....... At JFK, passengers sent to secondary screening will be given the option of a pat-down or a trip through the body imager. To protect the traveler's privacy,
the screener who reviews the image is in a booth, unable to see the
traveler, according to the TSA. The traveler's face is pixilated and
the image is not stored, the TSA said. MoreFacts about the machine Technology:
What TSA SeesMillimeter wave technology produces images which are viewed by a Transportation Security Officer in a remote location
Detection
- Metallic or non-metallic devices and objects are displayed,
including weapons, explosives and other items that a passenger is
carrying on his/her person
Safety
- For comparison, the energy projected by the system is 10,000 times less than a cell phone transmission
- We, and all objects around us, generate millimeter wave energy - and we are exposed to it every single day of our lives

This is really Cool. To protect the traveler's privacy, the screener who reviews the image is in a booth, unable to see the traveler, according to the TSA. The traveler's face is pixilated and the image is not stored, the TSA said.
I think no one should have problem if this is how they're going to use it.

Right on, ritthe!! they won't save 'us' in their database so there's no way anyone can get hold of what you got and no way to know who's who! but still, someone is seeing you through your clothes... HAHAHA...

LOL mazemyan! Depends on how many of them passengers are of the opposite gender to the viewer's (security personnel). for each 'pleasant' scan, you may have to scan through 10 of your own gender! HAHAHA..You seem to be comfortable viewing both? LOLOLOL
