Sources close to the Royal Palace have told this website that the King has already “reconciled†his fate and may “quit†the Palace without much ado contrary to the rumors that the King may create troubles if told to vacate the palace voluntarily.
Interestingly, Prachanda too appears to be in a mood to talk to the King which he aired this Saturday evening while talking to Nepal television.
A close aide of the King, Mr. Bharat Keshar Singh too apparently hinted that since the Maoists command majority and thus if they remove the King or prefer to keep the institution intact constitutionally, nothing could be done against the Maoists will.
Analysts say that the King has already reconciled with his fate that is in the store for him. Prachanda too apparently has hinted that if the King voluntarily vacates the palace, it would create a new history in Nepal.
Nevertheless, since both King and Prachanda have expressed their fervent desire to see each other, the process of abolition of the monarchy will be a smooth affair. A thrilling mememnt that it would be when the two "estranged" personalities meet each other.
Let’s wait and see what happens in the days ahead.
