I think many of you have know the issue of issuance of Visa (Tourist,Student) has declined more than 80%-90% nowadays.
The US embassy is surprised with the number of seats maoist have won and the Votes they have got in the last election. Embassy have a assumption nowadays that almost 50% ppl are Maoists or Communist and have stopped issuing the visas as it used to do before.
Anyone have any latest updates??

Ya, I don't know the reason exactly why and can't generalize that way either but 2 of my fellas who were pretty much likely to get visa (student) got rejected. something must have been boliling aftermath this election results...Maoist...I don't know guys, but for sure its bad for our fellas if it is actually so...But after all, US has thanked Nepali people for casting their votes though...isn't it B..S.?

I heard that they are bringing up new application forms where there is a box that you can check whether you are a maoist or not and that they would do a background check to verify that.
If you are maoist, you are out of luck.
