Contrary to reports that King Gyanendra is ready to “reconcile” with his fate that has been freshly charted out by the verdict of the constituent assembly poll, reports appearing in media speak just the otherwise.

Fresh reports have it that King Gyanendra, a follower of Hinduism excessively believes in the worship of Gods and Goddesses.

A section of the Hindus have adequate faith in such worships and believe that if some Goddesses like Kali and Durga (the two different forms of Goddesses Parvati-the consort of Lord Shiva) were worshipped, the worshipper gets proper “blessings”.

At the fag end of his possible exit from the Royal Palace, the King is believed to have engaged himself of late in order to “block” the way for such an unceremonious exit from the Royal Palace as being demanded by the Maoists, primarily.

It remains yet to be seen as to how this monarch is “blessed” by the said Goddesses and continue to remain in the Palace.

The Naya Patrika Daily dated May 2, 2008 reports that King Gyanendra performed such a ritual at the private residence of his sister, Sova Shahi in Kamaladi, Kathmandu.

The ritual that continued whole night was organized on the occasion of his 38^th marriage anniversary, Wednesday April 30, 2008, reports Naya Patrika.

Queen Komal, Crown Prince Paras, Crown Princess Himani were all present on the occasion.

First of all, if the reporter of this news was any Hindu he should have known that to perform special puja on the day of marriage anniversary is non-news item. There is no reason to even discuss about it. Secondly, to offer prayers at the time of adversary is nothing new. We all do that. Isn't it ironic, he is being blamed for performing Puja, I wonder what these reporters have written if they have found that King had a meeting with Army Generals of Nepal.

I just pray that Goddess Kali and Goddes Durga do not influence his decision as it may lead Nepal to a long drawn civil war. If you think, what he can do...better ask your self once again before searching for an answer somewhere else.
