This notice is issued in public interest to prospective members of Dashnami Society-USA Chapter, which was inaugurated last week in California.

Background:
The
Dashnami Society (literally meaning
the above Ten surnames)
serves as an umbrella organization in Nepal comprising of members of
the Dashnami society. There have been efforts to include Jangam (Official Pujaaris) and Yogi (Title conferred to people who desired to become a Dashmani). Likewise, Goshahi or Goshai is also considered among the society which was originally known as Goshwami (title conferred by Sansyasi to their followers).

fund raising, membership increment.
History:
Shankaracharya set forth on a campaign to rejuvenate Hinduism throughout the Aryabart (sub-Indian continent as Islam had uprooted Hinduism and Caste division had deteriorated Hinduism. He started preaching about Hinduism along with his 10 disciples who were designated to 10 different geographical locations (the 10 names).
Activities in Nepal:
Dashnami Society in Nepal is involved widely in sectors like health
camps, donations, scholarships, cultural programs, fund raisers, annual
conventions, blood donations, career and employment, trainings and
skill building activities.
Dashnami Society denounces racism, castism, intolerance and advocates for peace, fraternity and cooperation among all.
