Although Nepal is going through the process of ethnic uprising, some of the very minor ethnic communities are still untouched by this. Among these untouched group is BOTE, the hibitants of Tanahun District of Western Developmantal Region. Their traditional occupations are fishing, boating to help people to cross the river and try to find gold in river banks. At the middle of the global food crisis and credit crunch these landless minority are struggling to live their normal life. They are also in the verge of extinction along with their rich language.

A group of students from Tanahu have tried to help them but desperately need financial help to support their movements. I would like to appeal everyone here at SAJHA to help in any way you could. If not financial help, please post their bogsites in your personal blogs or social blogs.

there is another minority group called 'Baraam' and the people from this community called 'Baraamse'. Mostly, they are habitant of Gorkha, Lamjung and Dhading. I, personally, don't have any exact figure on their population. But it should be about 10,000. Mostly they are below the line of poverty. The make their living by laboring and fishing.
They need to be raised and helped as well..

I know few people from Baram community as I have links with both Gorkha and Dhading. They are also one of the few ethnic minority which are being underlooked.
Ganapati Jee, dont you think Baram are the same as Tamang and Ghale??
