Sharing few pictures from today at Durbar Marg. The popular slogal seemed to be "kina chaiyo pandra din, chod deu ekkai chin", "Gyane chor desh chor" etc.

The situation seemed to be at a standstill during this time. Few hours later, there was laathi charge in which 4 were injured. People throwing stones at the police.

The two days of holidays give people time to congegrate and celebrate in their own way. The area around the palace is very fragile. Newspapers have reported that there are hundreds of army personnel in the palace with tanks and enough weapon to keep the crowd away.

What a time to be in Nepal!

On the surface not much seems to have changed but the change is imminent with the historic declaration of "Loktantric Ganatantra". Let's hope for the best for the thousands of poverty stricken families who cannot provide two meals for their children nor education nor hope for betterment.

Jay Nepal.

The agitation all day long outside the royal palace seems to have been triggered by the popular request to fly the Nepal flag in the palace instead of the Royal flag. The Royal flag was taken down 8:30 am today, and the public had requested the Nepal flag to take it's place. The agitation continued all day long and finally just now the Nepal flag was raised at that spot. TV had live coverage of the durbar marg area all day.

Latoboy, yup just like you're a true patriot for wanting to know what's going on in Nepal in spite of your being thousands of miles away.
