Sajha ko saathi bhai haru,.........I never dreamed it in my wildest dream.......tara ma yehan student visa ma aako dui barsa jati bhayo............they sent me a dv lottery first letter in nepal....now what would be the right way to proceed from here.....nepal ma gayera visa interview diyeko ramro ki....yehan bata adjustment of status gareko ramro......is there anybody out there who is or was  in the same page as me or koi dai didi haru esto situation bata pass hunu bhako chha bhane help garnus na....your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I think your best bet would be to talk to an immigration lawyer. That way u'll know for sure instead of all the guessing games.

I know a dai in alabama got the lottery while he was here.as a student and he did it somehow....but unfotunately I do not have his number now....I would really appreciate if I could get some guidance on this matter

junkyfunky, we are on the same page. I also got the first letter in US (in F1 visa ) this year.
You can do Consular processing (CP) by going back to nepal for interview.
OR you can do AOS (Adjustment of Status) from here in US, which is less expensive but rather time consuming.

It actually depends on your case number, if it is higher then go for CP if it will become current soon then go for AOS. You'll find lot of cases similar to this in following site, it is really helpful:

well, i m happy for u now dude.i know few guys who processed from here,u can do the process without going to nepal,just get that letter and its better to talk with immigration lewyer.try to contact Mr. Keshab sedhai dai,he is very famous immigration lawyer in new york.visit http://www.greencardmaker.com/ and I am sure u will get good advices.

congratulations.  i would do the audjustment of status.  i got a good law firm in chicago and  an attorney that i can refer you.  send me your e-mail and i will send you his name and contact.  i did my citizenship through him. it's an american immigration law firm.

Thanks zee ani Soad bro ....did you make up your mind as to if u wanna go for the AOS or the CP yet still if koi dai didi haru were on the same page as  I was and have a similar experience of getting the GC ..your suggestions is greatly appreciated ....................Still waiting for some really cool insights into this subject matter.......thanks

ani case number high ho ki low ho bhanera chahi kasari thaha paune ni.....maile nepal ma letter pako tyestai 3 din jati matra bho.....yehan bata mail bhayera ghar ma pugda samma chahi one month jati lagechha....sarai confused po bhaye ho ma ta.....kyarni hola aba

i would suggest you to proceed further and wait until you get second letter.  after that go to nepal and appear for interview.  that way it is lot easier.  i know at least few people who have done that.  good luck.  but wait until you get second letter.
