Hello Everybody,

I am planing to apply to University of Alabama at Huntsville for MBA.  If any one is studying there or has studied and knows about the program, any input would be greatly appreciated.  Also, if one can find a job around the town and other things such as room and transportation. Thanxs.

there is a large enrollment of international student body in UAH,  most of them are in engineering.  there is a good size nepalese in and around huntsville and few nepalese students attending UAH or nearby schools.  i don't know about their mba program.  it is not as known as engineering.  also i suspect most of the mba students have a full time job, so it is probably geared towards working adults.  i myself went to a small private university to get my mba, while i was working full time as an engineer.  one thing to remember is, companies may not come looking to recruit UAH mba on campus.  that's a difference between well known mba program and others.  no one came to my school.  also if you are on f-1 status, that will make it more difficult to get a job directly out of mba program.  overall it is a good school.

as for jobs,  you need a car to get around.  not a very good public transportation.  maybe you can find some on campus work, or if lucky in your business department.  i have seen nepalese students working in a indian grocery store, restaurants.  once you are here and settled and know somebosy, you may be able to get a decent job in a good companies.  it depends on your undergraduate education.  there are plenty of high tech, defence companies in huntsville area.  i am sure there are rooms available, but again once you get to know ppl, you may find a roomate.  i would not make huntsville the first priority though.  i have been in your shoes, try to find a place where you can rely on public transporation and jobs.
