I am seriously concerned about our country Nepal going on the drain instead of stairing on the path of success. I was O.K with the president and Vice president being elected from the Madhesis region. But when they got elected, they're representing the whole country Nepal so they should speak nepali when taking sworn for the sake of the country. Now it's again the time for protests to be launced all over the country Nepal. Though I have read some of the protests launched on the streets, this won't be enough to kick this rastra dhokabazi dhoti Jha out of the country. So let's do something folks for the sake of country. San, I heartly request you to organize a paypal account in order to fund to be organized on the protests against this A-hole V.P who sworned in Hindi which is not any language in Nepal. So Let's get together and fund for the protests so that people would atleast get on the streets to protest against him and kick him out of the parliament. It's all because of these A-holes Girija, Makune and MJF and now the country's in jeopardy. I am really sorry that I am in U.S and I can't get on the streets but I can help launch protests on the streets all over the country.
Now it's time to wake up fella's and start a fresh protest against V.P Parmenanda Jha to kick him out of the constitution. That might need some fund so I humbly request San and everyone of you to participate in the protest against this V.P. WHY V.P PARMENANDA JHA SHOULD BE KICKED OUT?
To be in high post like V,P a person should have qualifications to sacrifice and give their life in politics and democracy. But,If we look at V.P Paremendra Jha, his characters are totally opposite. His previous profile of corruption while taking the post of Chief Justice doesn’t approve of him even being the member of C.A and he should be sent to Nakhu Jail. Babban Singh who masterminded bomb-plot on Kathmandu killing a 8 year old girl and several other people are interviewed and hailed in our country as a efficient politician which is totally awful to Nepal. Not only this, we even forgave Babban Singh while speaking Hindi to a journalist when he was interviewed in Nepali. But we can't forgive V.P Jha because he is slamming our national language Nepali being on the top executive level.
To take oath is to promise and sacrifice your life and time to perform the Duty. If you guys know about Nepali people when hired on British Army, they take oath in English saying that they will sacrifice their blood and life to Britian no matter what and even fight with his home country Nepal even though it is in opposition. So oath is not just a speech made by your boring Nepali lecturer but a promise and assertion given towards people and country. Talking about oath of post like President and Vice President of country is more responsible and promising in a way that represents the whole country. Also people where lot of international journalists, politicians and high profiled people from different country are present so national language and sovereignty might be severly slammed. So no matter what oath for the official administrative position should be taken in national dress and language. So I strongly protest against this Corrupted V.P Jha taking oath in Hindi slamming our face and our pure and sensational Nepali Language. So If we don’t take any action right now after few years, mera bharat mahan would be our national anthem and hindi would be our national language as we can also say, it is also language understood by everyone as all Nepalese watch hindi movies and understand dhoti language.

San: First of all,Thank you for replying this thread. Well you agree that it is an inappropriate precedence for V.P to take oath in Hindi Language then why not take action against it. Like Newton said Every action has equal and opposite reaction, so this action is unforgivable and needs action immediately before it’s too late. I know that I might be getting expelled from Sajha from these comments but these are my honest feedbacks and truth really bites.

-I strongly disagree with you that there has to be people from other caste who does not speak any Nepali-whether they speak Hindi or Tibetan. Here we are not talking about regional administrative position but an administrative position like V.P of country. No matter what, He/She should speak Nepali language and Nepali dress in order to be qualified for the position. Let me give you an example, I know there are lot of Hispanic people on government in U.S but did they ever take oath in Spanish while addressing United States stating that almost 35% people speak and understand Spanish? Not at all, they have affection towards U.S and where they live now and also respect their Spanish culture as well. Let you give you my own example. I am a minority caste stating that I am not a Newar and bahun but a man born in Mongolian family. My parents spoke their language only within themselves and never taught nor encouraged me to speak my caste language.So the only language from Nepal I know is Nepali. I was also never interested but always thought Nepali is the only and common language needed. Though I don’t look typical Nepali, I feel proud of myself of being a Nepali and born in the country Nepal where sovereignty was never lost. Similarly I along with all members accept that madhesis should be treated like pahadis. We already said that we don’t have any problem with President Ram Baran Yadav who is also from madhesis origin but Instead we are happy that a doctorate educated person is the President of Nepal and feel happy for him.

San dai, While I wholeheartedly agree with what you had to say on Indian culture's influence in the Terai region, I can't comprehend your incorporation between your above remarks and a, one, Parmanendra Jha, who speaks very good Nepali, and his swearing in Hindi language.
I have to admit that the initial reason I did not respond to this thread was because my knowledge regarding current politics and politicians are very limited. I didn't have any background information on Paramananda Jha that he spoke and understood Nepali.
With my limited knowledge I made the above statement assuming that he didn't speak Nepali. Well, my assumption was wrong! Simply because I run this site does not make me a knowledgeable person who knows everything! That's the reason I don't like to get involved in politics.
I want to modify my opinion now that I know he speaks Nepali fluently that he was very wrong in taking the oath in Hindi! Also, I noticed that some posters insinuated that they may be banned for thinking differently from what I thought. Please be assured that sajha is not being run to voice my personal opinion or any personal agenda. Please be assured that noone gets banned here for disagreeing with me. Sajha is a place where lot of information is shared everyday and I am one of the users who learn something new everyday by reading postings posted by others. I totally agree with you. For being in such a high position of the whole nation, Mr. Jha fully went against the constitution of The Republic of Nepal. I know language is just a way of delivering message but once one are representing a Nation, he should think what he stands for. If a VP takes oath in Hindi, some other guy in Tamang, another guy in Newari, another in Bhojpuri, what is the meaning of Official Language? According to http://www.ethnologue.com/show_country.asp?name=nepal there are 126 spoken languages in Nepal and more than 560 personnels in New Nepali Government. Out of these, there are many dilects and languages. How are we going to balance this? I believe, this question didn't even poped in VP's head. So, I conclude him a wrong person at the right time.
Anyways, I am happy that a person from Terai region in a president and VP. There is nothing wrong with that. I have seen so many low-class talk about ethinicity, race and so called 'caste'. I am totally against this. No matter what we are Nepali and we are looking forward to a new Nepal.
One more thing before I close my topic. I was watching youtube videos of the government personnels while taking oath, to me they all seem like they are doing a monkey-show. One person is talking in Nepali and the VP is repeating after him but in Hindi...bla bla bla.......
bro sad truth in Nepal is that there are student union leaders and youth leaders who has affiliation and answers to a strong political leader like a pawn to start and stop riots and demonstrations, and can be easily bought. THE REST are just followers. Students get to bunk classes no work, like a holiday......walk around being powerfull burning tires, destroying sidewalks and public property, some of them do it even not concerned of the main cause.....they just do it for fun or passing time. They are not well informed or misguided or even paid.
Protests against VP Jha’s oath in Hindi rumble on
Kantipur Report
KATHMANDU, July 29 - Demonstrations continued in various parts of the country on Tuesday protesting Vice President Paramananda Jha’s use of Hindi while taking the oath of office and secrecy last week.
Residents of Sanga in Kavre district obstructed the Araniko highway with logs and an effigy of Vice President Jha.
No long and short route vehicles were on the road due to the protests organised by students and locals.
Residents of Banepa and Panauti in the district burnt effigies of Jha.
Similarly, vehicular movement was brought to a grinding halt in the Butwal-Narayangad section of the east west highway due to the protest demonstrations carried out in various places of Rupandehi district by Samyukta Nepal Organisation Dev Daha.
Likewise, vehicular movement was obstructed in Nawalparasi and Itahari.
Shops were closed and vehicles remained off the road in Birtamod of Jhapa district and Kushma of Parbat district due to anti-Jha protests.
In another incident in Chitwan district, unique cable TV operators scrambled all Indian channels and FM stations stopped airing Hindi songs as part of the protest against Jha’s oath taking in Hindi.
Meanwhile, expressing solidarity with Jha, a rally was taken out at Inaruwa of Sunsari district.
Students affiliated to four student unions took out a rally and burnt an effigy of Vice President Jha in Mahendranagar in far western protesting his action.
Freinds lets not let this thing go easily. This is the national issue and humilation to all nepali janata. I am humbled and pleased that all our sajha members are really concerned about the issue of disgrace against our language and country but also saddened in a way that none of the sajhaites including San and even Umesh couldn’t contribute to the fund project to spark the protests in front of the Rastrapati Bhawan to kick Deshdrohi V.P Jha out of the constitution.
