Reluctant. I am to start this thread lest have no other options to find those lost friends, though we were just acquainted I would like to refer as FRIENDS. However I have special connection with them so am looking for there whereabouts. I am sure some of you are in Sajha, I would be very happy to have your response.

Once upon a time, not so long ago we all shared a same dream to write in 'The Kathmandu Post' (TKP) and 'The Himalayan Times' (THT). There were special columns in Editorial page. If u happen to read it regulary Im sure u r aware of it 'Post Platform' in TKP and 'Midway' in THT.

One day, we got email from Peter J Karthak (Assistant Editor of THT, in charge of Midway section). By then, I had published few pieces in THT n TKP. I called if I could meet him and D next day I was there. He had already met some other young contributors. Then finally we all the juveniles decided to meet in Bakery Cafe, New Baneshwor. It was really great meeting. We did not know each other personally but had known by name, reading their articles everyday in THT n TKP. It was wonderful knowing each other and meetin in person.

After that meeting, we had a email group of more than 20 people ( I guess). Once I checked mailbox after 3 days and my Goodness there were 57 new CC messages (all from wanna be writers). We also had few more gatherings later. The email exchanges was very active but gradually it lost interest and finally became history.

I used to chat with some of them when was in Nepal and was happy (sometimes jealous) when I saw their names instead of mine in newspapers. 90% of the articles (Post Platform in TKP, and Midway in THT) used to be from the same group. (also in Space Time Today and The Rising Nepal) If there was someone new, we tried to find who s/he was.

Peter Sir (Peter J Karthak) did great job by taking initiation to gather everyone. He was really encouraging. Like everyone, I left Nepal for greener pasture (?) and somehow I lost all the contacts and my old mails got deleted.

Today, while reading Kathmandu Post (article by one of us) I recalled those days and was wondering where n what they might be doing............Im sure some of them have already left writing but few have made (on the way) big names in media

1. John Narayan Parajuli- do u work for BBC Nepali Sewa or Nepali Times?

----------------

I felt not so comfortable to take their names publicly but had no any other option.
