Minor explosion at VP's residence, one hurt

Police say there has been a minor explosion at vice president Parmananda Jha's residence at Gaurighat, Kathmandu on Sunday evening.

According to chief of Kathmandu District Police, SP Sarbendra Khanal, the 'explosion was small' and it hurt 'one person.'

SP Khanal said that 'security situation is under control' in the area.

He said that the vice president was not at home when the explosion occurred. "He came afterwards," he said.

VP Jha was in controversy after taking oath of office in Hindi language.
