अमेरिका जर्जिया राज्यको एलान्टा शहरस्थित मेरिएट्टा भन्ने ठाउँमा आफ्नै व्यवसाय गरेर बसेका नेपाल गुल्मी घर भएका अन्दाजी ३७ वर्षका विनोद श्रेष्ठको सोमबार राती अज्ञात व्यक्तिको गोली प्रहारबाट मृत्यु भएको छ ।
सोमबार साँझ आफ्नो स्टोरबाट बासस्थान फर्किने क्रममा आफ्नो अपार्टमेन्ट अगाडी पार्किड.लटमा श्रेष्ठमाथि साँझ आठबजे चार पाँच गोली प्रहार भएको कुरा एटलान्टाबासी चेतनाथ घिमिरेले नेपालीपोष्टलाई जानकारी गराउनुभयो ।
गोली प्रहार भएको जानकारी स्थानीय अपार्टमेन्ट वरपर बस्नेहरुले प्रहरीलाई खबर गरेको र प्रहरीले घटनास्थल आइपुग्दा श्रेष्ठको मृत्यु भइसकेको र साँझ साढे आठ बजे श्रेष्ठको शवलाई लगेको थियो ।
घटनाका बारेमा प्रहरीले अनुसन्धान गरिरहेको र स्थानीय नेपाली समाजलाई थप जानकारी प्रहरीले आफ्नो अनुसन्धानपछिमात्र दिने भनेको जानकारी एनआरएन उत्तर अमेरिकाका उपाध्यक्ष राजा घलले नेपालीपोष्टका लागि गौतम दाहालसँगको कुराकानीमा दिनुभएको छ ।
पहिले गुल्मी घर भए पनि हाल आफ्नो परिवार बुटबलमा बसोबास गर्दै विगत झण्डै सात वर्षअघि अमेरिका आएका श्रेष्ठले अमेरिकी नागरिकसित वैवाहिक बन्धनमा बाँधिएका थिए ।
सोमबार घटेको उक्त घटनापछि नेपालमा मृतक श्रेष्ठका परिवालाई खबर गरिएको र उनका परिवारका सदस्य भाइ आज बुधबार नेपालबाट हिडिसकेको थाहा भएको छ । |
नेपाली को नियती सेरिनु र मारिनु मात्र हो कि ?
म्रितक श्रेष्ठको आत्मले शान्ती पाउन।

I know him , he used to live near our home in Gulmi. I never had a good information of where he was in US. Today morning i got a call from my brother, he told me binod dai was shot by some "Hakucha". Its really bad to hear that nepali come here to earn some money and make their's and parents life as affordable as possible but get shot dead for absolutely no reason. I know the victims dad very well. Heart full of condolences to him and his family. May the soul rest in Peace.

May the soul of the deceased rest in peace and his family find strength to get through this difficult time. Homicide (08/25/08 @ 1942 hours in Zone 4)
The Cobb County Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit is
investigating a homicide which occurred at 899 Powers Ferry Road in
Marietta, Georgia.
According to investigators, officers from
Precinct Four responded to the Riverstone Apartments in reference to a
person shot. Upon arrival, officers located 38-year-old Binod
Kumar Shrestha of Marietta, Georgia in the parking lot in front of
Building H with multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Shrestha was pronounced
deceased on the scene.
There is no suspect information at this time.
Anyone
who witnessed the incident or has further information should contact
the Cobb County Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit at
(770) 499-3945.
