Last night at around 7:30, I was sitting on my couch,
watching my dojo loach swimming around his fish tank and wondering what to do
next. I was about ready to get up and go to blockbuster rent a movie and call
in my girl friend (not a girlfriend) and watch a movie, when I got a call from
my friend. He is a Pakka Newar and whenever he gets calls from Nepal or his
relatives around here he talks in Newari that I don't understand. But he is a
cool guy, A true friend in need, he's been there with me in my Ups and Downs,
so I cancel my plan of getting laid and decided to go and have few drinks with
him at the Bar, before he hit the road to get to my place I asked him to bring
Dalley along. Dalley is another friend; he is a Votey, a very smart, educated,
down to earth guy, a true friend. They arrived and we decided we will walk to
the bar so we don't have to worry about who is driving and also it was only 10
minutes away from where I live. We went there and I ordered my fat tire and
start drinking. We were sitting outside at the Patio so that we can smoke. It
was getting chilly but we were just starting to get warm. It was then when
Ramesh called, Ramesh Chaudhary from Lahan and his buddy Nimesh Dahal, from
bhojpur, they were RU- PA. Room partners, we called them to the bar, they came
within 30 minutes, we really enjoyed our night, talked about ... well what guys
talk about... girls.. politics.. Future plans.... not to forget how beautiful
were the waitresses as-s-es there. We got drunk, went to my place and sang few
songs while I played my Ibanez. We drank some more, ate some Ice cream, and
crashed.
My point is.... I think this is what you all guys and gals do; you go out with
your friends no matter what their cast is. They are your friends and even
though you hate a thing or two about them.... you love them. They are your
buddies you can trust on. Some of them... you can trust with burying a dead
body.
If this is you, if this is true, then why show so much hate about other culture
in SAJHA... Whatever is going in Nepal... we all care about it, We all are
Nepali, and we all get along well,,,, nobody needs to prove that, cuz it is a
fact. So why do we behave like this.
Ask Yourself??????

Though you tried hard to show how much you r living in a racial harmony, you showed some attitude here.
'whenever he gets calls from Nepal or his relatives around here he talks in Newari that I don't understand' (Analogy: your foreign friends wondering why you do the same (talking in nepali) whenever you get call from your nepali friends or relatives from Nepal (please don't make an excuse by saying because they can't speak in english).
Why can't you appreciate other's cultures and language? What is your problem of him speaking in newari?
'he is a Votey' (Do I need to write an analogy here too?)
Besides these two issues, I can't agree more with your opinions.
