KATHMANDU, Nov 6 - CPN-Maoist
second-in-command and Minister for Finance Dr Baburam Bhattarai said on
Thursday that preparations are underway to distribute academic
certificates to the individuals who could not pursue education due to
their involvement in the war.He
said, “Our friends abandoned study and got involved in the revolution
(armed conflict). Whatever skill and knowledge they earned, they must
receive recognition.” Speaking
at an interaction organised by the Maoist-affiliated All Nepal National
Independent Students’ Union- Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) in the capital
today, Dr Bhattarai further went on to say that the people “who could
not receive formal education due to financial problem and other reasons
but possess sufficient skill and knowledge" must also be provided with
degree. “We
are of the opinion that their skill and knowledge must be changed into
academic degree and distributed through an open university,” he added. The
Maoist ideologue’s statement comes in the wake of various quarters
saying that the Maoist combatants must be integrated into the national
army as per the criteria of the Nepal Army for new recruitment.

haina...yesari ka..kha.. naphene ra banduk paukaune lai certificate dine kam nepali jantale pahila baburam ra prachande lai dinu parne ho.. chor harule afno jat janaudai chhan... aba nepali janta le lattale haner desh nikalna ber chhaina.... yestai vayo vane mareko rajtantra byutane vayo feri nepal ma..... UML.Congress le nakkali certificate ka lai jagir dilayo...maobadile napdhnelai certificate bechne dhanda garne vayo.... aba nepal ra nepali ko khariyat hola jasto chaina....

hahaha....New nepal...sooner or later Pasang will be sent to china for 6 months training and will earn his degree (according to Bhattarai ) which will qualify him to compete to hold Rukmund Katuwal's position.Thats what their strategies and Thats what we call that a new nepal

Covering letter-- Application for a teacher in primary school
Dear sir,
I believe I am very much qualified for this job. I have killed 9 nepalese, amputated number of them and raped 5 nepali woman. My speciality is in poaching, ambushing and extortion. I have also done special course in using AK 47.
I was given a letter of appreciation after I burnt 40 innocent Nepalese in madi bus. I hope you like my qualification and with my skills. So I think I can be a good Engllish and Mathematics teacher In your school.

No way they should not receive any kind of academic certificate because they were involved in the war. Instead they should be given oppurtunity to give final exams of university at earlier date or different date than the regular time and pass the exam if they need degree. Otherwise man , many nepalese could not study properly during the war time. Does that mean all of the nepalese qualify for the degree.

I think it's time we assemble some hitmen and go to nepal and snip the freak out of Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Baburam Bhattrai and Badal whatever Name he has.... wow, so you don't have to do anything to get a masters degree in nepal??? No wonder our country is going downhill... when you have all those Bihari Certificates running the country now you have free certificate holders who can't even write their own name in nepali forget it in english,.. this is funny,,, I dont' think we will have a country left, It's time to Frame our nepali passports and apply for refugee status again in USA.. oh!! yeah!! oui NEPE... how come you are still here,,, timilai new nepal ma timra kakaley Mantri position diyenan.. At a time when the issue of army integration is drawing flak from many quarters including the main opposition Nepali Congress, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bam Dev Gautam on Monday defended the government's plans to go ahead with integration of Maoist combatants into Nepal Army.
In a sharp rebuttal to fears expressed by NC leaders that plans are afoot to make PLA commander the next army chief, Gautam, who heads the army integration special committee, said there's no reason why a Maoist People's Liberation Army (PLA) commander can't become the Nepal Army (NA) chief after the army integration takes place.
Minister Gautam said that in fact any member of the PLA can become the army chief after the Maoist combatant merger with NA, provided that they are capable and meet all the criteria for the post.
"If [Maoist chief] Prachanda can become prime-minister, there's no question why a Maoist commander can't become army chief," he said while talking to reporters at a programme in Chitwan
He also informed that the government would make separate arrangement for those Maoist combatants who don't meet the criteria for military services. However, he said save for Maoist combatants no other member of the armed outfits [operating in the country] can be integrated into Nepal Army

PLA rush for quick degrees
MOHAN BUDAYEAR DHANGADHI, Jan 28 - Driven by the desire to get integrated into the Nepal Army (NA), combatants of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) here are busy buying "fake academic certificates".
While many PLA commanders of the seventh division at Talbanda and Badaipur camps are reportedly frequenting neighbouring Indian cities to buy "fake certificates", some have enrolled in local schools and colleges.
For instance, Ananda and Sangharsha, the nom de guerres of two brigade commanders of the division, are enrolled as bachelor-level students in Khaptad Multiple Campus here.
But they are rarely seen in the college, and even if they come, they just go out after a couple of classes. "They are not taking classes regularly," said Campus Chief Madan Raj Joshi. According to him, around 10 PLA combatants are enrolled in the campus.
The neighbouring Janapriya Higher Secondary School at Badaipur has more than 35 PLA men in its higher secondary and secondary-level programmes.
"Even those PLA men, who are not enrolled, come to us to enquire where and how they could get academic certificates," said Janga Bahadur Deuba, the school principal.
A source said on condition of anonymity that commander-level PLA men had been visiting Nainitaal, Khari, Paliya and other colleges of Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh states of India to acquire fake academic certificates.
"One can buy such certificates by paying Indian Rs. 3,000 to 10,000 each," the source claimed. Most of the PLA commanders, including section, platoon and division commanders, lack academic qualification to join the national army.
Only those who have passed the higher secondary level can apply for the post of second lieutenant. Hardly 10 percent of PLA commanders here have passed that level.
PLA's seventh division vice-commander Jeevan, for instance, who holds a post equivalent to NA's major general, is barely literate. While division commander Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, a former primary-level teacher, has passed the higher secondary level.
"No woman commander here has passed School Leaving Certificate exams," said the source.
Asked whether PLA combatants got admission at the bachelor level by producing fake certificates of the intermediate level, Campus Chief Joshi said they were yet to look into the matter. "A few of them have produced Indian certificates; we'll check that later," he said.
A few weeks ago, Finance Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai had said the PLA combatants' participation in the "people's war" should be taken as academic qualification for integration into the NA.
