Apart from going to nepal, you can also extend your visa going to canada or mexico. While going to Canada or Mexico you must have a good reason for why you want to extend your visa. the chances are 50/50....and its the same thing in nepal too....

Last month, one friend applied in UK, denied and ask to go Nepal for stampping. He is in Nepal now and it was supposed to applied in last week. However, I haven't hear anything so far from him either denied or got it.

Thanks

I have a visa that expires may 2009. I am just trying to make sure if visa is denied , would I be able to return back to US or not. I still have five months left on my visa.

As far as i  know you wont  be able to do anything on your visa until it is expired.i wont go to mexico since it  is harder to get a extension  from there.Canada is a good option  but  again the  chances are 50/50.if you really decide to go to canada for extension make sure all your documents are strong and you should provide them  with a strong reason why u wanna extend your visa.if you have changed your  major after entering the u.s  it might help  u because u can tell them that your  new major is going to take longer time  than  you thought,so u wanted  your visa  to be extended.Good Luck.

what if i have a settlement visa for UK and then i want to extend my visa for US? i mean, dont you think the settlement visa i hold is enough to convince the counselor that i want to continue my studies in US and not be fooling around.
