Students clash in various colleges
Dozens of students have been injured in the clashes that ensued among various student organisations in Kathmandu and Biratnagar.
Six
students of Nepal Students' Union (NSU, which is affiliated with Nepali
Congress) were injured in Tri-Chandra College in clashes between
student activists of the NSU and UML-affiliated All Nepal National Free
Students' Union (ANNFSU).
NSU staged demonstration in front of the college obstructing traffic throughout the day Sunday, to protest the attacks.
Likewise,
according to Gorkhapatra daily students have been injured in Biratnagar
in clashes among NSU, Youth Force (UML's youth wing) and
ANNFSU-Revolutionary (affiliated to Maoists).
The
clashes occurred the same day when Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal
'Prachanda' had appealed to youths for using their energy in 'creative
and constructive manner' rather than in destructive clashes.
