Will it make any difference if i file my Tax as a US Resident. What will be the consequences?

sounds like u are a nonresident/resident alien. i would recommend u to file as a non-resident to stay out of legal hassles.

Thanks for ur reply
I am a nonresident alien. If I file as NR i will be getting only some 90/100 bucks but if i file as a resident i will be getting a hell more around 1500 bucks. And most of my frens are filing as a resident and they are saying that it wont make any problem. This is bothering me if i shud file as NR or Resident.

Can u elaborate wat kind of legal hassles do i need to face?
