almost a year back i gave my old car to my friend. I had gone to his state to deliver the car. After that, itwas his. But he did not sign the registration papers thinking that its gonna be hectic and expensive. I thought he did. Now the problem is that, the number tag is gonna expire this march. And he lost his keys. Making it impossible to drive. He was saying that the car would not pass the e-check as well. (It'd pass at the time i gave it to him.. But thats that) Now, after the number tag has expired, cops can tow the car anytime. So i was wondering if they are  gonna charge me for anything. The insurance for that car is in his name.

Please guys help me out with this.
