eating only does not help, eat a lot and exercise at least 3 hours in a week. You will gain weight and your body will be firmer as well. About eating, eat anything that you like. If you like pizza, eat two slices every day, if like eggs, also eat one boiled egg every day, if you like eathing chicken curry with rice, do it for about 3 times a week. drink a lot of water as well. that's how i gained weight those days, later i had to do more vigorous exercise and stay on diet to control the weight gain.

Few Questions:

1. Are you in stress?
2. Is it in your family - i.e. members normally thin ?

If not, get checked with doctors, and confirm that you are not suffering with any diseases.

So far eating stuffs, eat something like banana, milk (normal), and anything that you love eating (except junk food, alcohol). Dont eat excessive at one time, instead eat normal amount at regular amount.

Also, I suggest you to take vitamin B6 capsules (or take B-complex tabs). This helps food absorbed.

Last but not least, try to sleep in time, and sleep enough (at least 8 hours) in 24 hours.

McDonald's Double Cheese Burger, French fries, Coke.  (Meal) will help, I guess.

Eat a lot of Bhat, Khasi ko Masu.  Also have green saag (helps digestion) every time you eat meat.

even if ure skinny now, looking at the way you eat, after u hit 28...you're gonna start getting fat and over weight. So, dont worry abt gaining weight. but think about eating healthy.

since ure allready skinny, you really dont need to run like SKH says. i'll make a food plan chart for you soon coz rite now im busy. so if u follow that, its gonna be fine.

I was impressed by ANS's answer. Are you a doctor by any chance ANS? Follow his advice it really sounds right on the spot.

I really think that if you eat normal and eat healthy then you have no need to worry about your weight. A visit to a doctor to make sure everything is OK and then stop worrying cause not everyone is the same and being thin might be normal for your body.

But my friend you have an enviable position there. I am sure that many of us would love to trade with you cause I'm 5' 6'' and am 150 lbs. It's not a problem I know but I have a potbelly that I would love to get rid of.

Before you gain weight, everyone wants to be heavier but once you gain weight then you want to go back to being skinny again and that is as everyone knows very very hard. Very easy to gain but not easy to lose :(

Good luck with your weight thing.

Well real busy like what? you cant even get about 1-2 hours a day? You kinda remind me of myself of those hectic days, bit i was  3-4 years younger then you, well now i am older than you. Well my friend you got 2 options

Option #1

Join any fitness club, ask one of the trainers for suggestions, he will give you adivce on what to eat more and what exercising machines you should use often. You can work out for about an hour and you will start feeling good within 2 months. I vouch you if you follow everything the right way you will get there after all this was exactly what i did.

Option#2

If you dont want to join fitness club then buy a pair of dumb bells (20-30 lbs which ever works for you) then go to some sports shop and buy Perfect Pushup device, now this is a rotating object you use while doing a pushup, this is a very handy device. And then go to one of the GNC and ask the cashier for Protein Shake wich is good for gaining volume of muscles or weight. If you do pushups as istructed on that Perfect pushup catalog and use dumb bells  in a efficient manner and eat Rice, sardines,Bacon(if you eat bacon), Wheat bread .

Since i dont go to the gym any more i do the option #2.When i first started to go to the gym i was about 123 lbs about your exact height, then i went up to 167lbs in  about 7 months(btw i was strict on my exercise and my meals), then later on i dropped to about 154lbs because i dont wanna be too big, now am all set
