Hello friends

Right now I am in OPT (which means still F-1) and probably filing for H1B. One of my friend wants to transfer his house loan in my name for a temporary period. Is that legal or can I accept that ? Does that affect my H1-B process in the future?

Your factual views will be appreciated.

Regards,

MB

I have heard that you can transfer your loan from one lender to another. I would be interested in knowing how you can transfer the loan to you without buying your friend's house.

If you are in F1/OPT status i don't think you can get loan for house. So i think that would hold the same for transferring house loan from your friends to your name. Please post what happens when you do attempt to transfer.
