The Indians cancelled the deal only 2 days before it was supposed to be finalized? WTF!!!!

Thats a messed up game they're playing. And no reason to cancel a deal of such importance?

And yet we have no choice but to look to them for help? Bloody Biharis!

Despite being educated, why do we Nepalese tend to listen to others and not try to get the full picture and start blaming others. Living in the west I have realised that media only publishes news that makes their news sell and not give out the matter of fact.

I wonder if the people posting the comments even knows the contents of the contract. According to the information I have, India is trying to get Nepal to sign contract to buy electricity at a premium rate from them for 25years worth billions of Rupees. The government didn't accept the contract because the ongoing hydroelectricity project constructions if finished in time will produce enough electricity for Nepal within 5 years without the need to import any electricity. So what are we to do with this surplus electrcity once all these projects are up and running? Sell it to India for half the price we buy from them? They will be supplying the electricity we produce to us and churning out the profit for themselves for 20years if the contract was signed by the so called terrorist government of maoists.

If either NC or Communist party was in Government, they would have signed the contract and pocketed millions of dollars in bribes as they have done with other projects that they signed with Nordic governments. Just read those contracts if you ever get the chance and you will see what I mean.

India is just putting pressure on the government to sign this lucrative contract for them by pulling it out so soon thinking Nepal government will bow down to their pressure because of crippling condition Nepal is in at the moment. Why not spend this money in other energy source like wind power or solar power instead of giving it to India and making them richer?
