Maoists fall flat, Nepal Army top hats swear of unity

TGW Analyst

The Maoists in government must have received a severe political jolt.
It should now be taken for granted that the entire military men were intact and that neither Kul Bahadur Khadka-the Maoists preferred one, nor Chatra Bahadur Gurung- the UML choice for sorting out the current imbroglio, were against the sacking of the incumbent Nepal Army Chief, Rukmangad Katwal, because the “three immediate top-hats” made a strong and meaning loaded statement today evening stating that “we remained united and that any misinformation that has been deliberately or otherwise been disseminated by a section of the media stood incorrect and baseless”.

At 08.20 PM this evening April 29, 2009, the Nepal Army Chief Katwal made it clear that the Army remained united contrary to the media reports and that there had been no differences in the consideration of the Institution of the Army as such in between Kul Bahadur Khadka and Chatra Man Gurung.
“We all stand united and will remain so for a longer time to come”, is what the three top-hats of the Army said.

Army Chief Katwal appealed the population to believe what he said which was later subscribed verbatim by Kul Bahadur Khadka and Mr. Gurung.

This is completely a new development coming as it did from the top-hats of the Nepal Army which perhaps hints that the Indian establishment sufficiently terrified the Maoists government, in the mean time, and could also have directed the Nepal Government that any (mis)adventure as regards the institution of the Nepal Army will not be tolerated.

Listening to this Army’s firm determination, the Indian Ambassador may rush, out of excitation, tomorrow morning to see Nepal PM Dahal in DORA Ganji and Dora underwear which is very popular in Nepal as well.

Dora fabrics too has contributed to enhancing Nepal-India bilateral relations.
