Indian communist parties lost election in India. Their number decreased by half to 30. What does it mean to Maoists? Maoist ko naak ma natthi lgane bho from Indian deplomatic "Sood lai Doot Pathaide bhanne Prachanda lai." Prachanda and Gyanendra both will lose their future for another 5 years. Prachanda ko nautanki naach hune gartyo Indian Communist ko music ma, aba bhane ali santi hune bho. Congress I is less interested than any BJP or CPI. Lets hope Nepal will have less influence from Indians for another five years. Hope is the reason we are alive.

GP, you got partly wrong partly right brother!

CI from the beginning  is always interested in nepal's internatal matters. Indira gandhi, rajib gandi and now soniya, they all are/were poision as far as nepal is concerned. now you will see more selling of nepali resource to india and more influence of delhi in nepalese politics. not to mention, from 12points agreements to gantantra,  is the plan of ONLY CONGRESS I, not BJP and nepal is at this state of turmiol because of the same agreement. As CI wins, yeah gyanendra of course would have got disappointed but in my opinion nepal will be further humiliated and made true puppet in next five years.

as per the maoists, yes they also has some reasons to be disappointed, but still CI has some softcorner towars lftists than the BJP.

in my opinion, with the win of CI Nepal will experience a lot more interventions from delhi. you watch it.

It's good news that the communists will have no influence in the Indian union government policies for the next five years. Certainly, BJP's defeat is also welcome as it could try  to be more dominating to the neighbouring countries. It would be better if the new government tried to look into nepal policies with a new outlook. However, in any case, not  much will change as their nepal policy is mostly set by the babus in the south block and I feel nothing will really change with the same leadership continuing in India.

On a different note, BJP's jashwant singh won from darjeeling with a huge margin of 2.5 lakhs while the party's alliance is going to sit in the opposition after a humiliating defeat. Darjeeling's gorkhaland dream might remain a distant dream for long, it seems. However, the defeat of the CPM in Bengal must be a positive news there too.

For once the BBC has got it right with "India opts for a middle path". With fu**ups like UNMIN and Carter out of the way, why wouldn't Nepal vote for moderation and against extremism in the next elections. Either way, it's good to see that it's another blow for the Maoists - may they speedily join their terrorist brethren, the LTTE.

what we need is a complete makeover of political system that could, should and would wash away the current corrupted and imcompetent breed of so - called leaders.

any does it make difference for them as long as Indian Congress are forming the government. If BJP could was in power then they could have doomed.

I think the Congress I's win is bad for the Nepal but the good result is the Communist party's defeat in this election. In my opinion BJP's win would have beeen better for Nepal and bad for the Maoist. I think there will be much more interference from the India to our internal affairs.

I have seen several comments of GP in Sajha but have hardly seen any positive ones.

He could have put the title this way "Maoists can learn from the election result in india." Try to think positively.

Not only the Nepali Communits, he has commented harshly against Nepali Congress and other parties, even the professional organizations.

Sorry, I am not trying to pinpoint GP but talking about the general attitude.

There is nothing good winning by congress or bjp.. it is just a matter of who is less worse.. And in this case.. bjp would make things worse... they lost.. and it is better.
