I have to go to Canada in November. Does any body know if I can just buy ticket upto USA from the Travel Agent and then buy ticket from USA to Canada online myself.

I found that doing this costs me less than buying the entire ticket from Nepal to Canada from the Travel Agent.

Sometime ago I saw a thread saying that we can just buy our tickets online even for international travel. Is that correct?

You need to figure out what the transit regulation is for US . To the best of my knowledge you do need a transit visa depending on what countries passport you hold . If you hold a Nepali passport, then You wont be entertained . Try traveling from delhi to canada . Your travel agent should have explained you that .
Try doing a Google search as it seems you have the access to internet .Should get all your answers there .
