@pyaradeshbasiharu - I don't know what you trying to be? It's all upon you. I often read ur post, and ur quick and helpful posts are alwys a plus. It seems you have lots of knowleedge in various fields. But, u know sometimes it feels like there are two different persons with the same name, and this one is the second one ( not the one i described above).

I know where you coming from when you say - "Consultants and Good!! You must be be dreaming!!". But Consultants, now a dys are necessary  evils. There are so many ppl, including me who has benefited from these so called - blood suckers. I know many out there are differnt, and few are good. But that doesn't mean that we should blame each n everyone out there. And besides all, life would be hell if they  stop doing what they do now. This is one of those things where both has benefits, while consultants have more. But compare to nothing that you will end up , it is better to join one of these suckers. Few are out there, where they claim they are different. But I tell you, all these ppl are there to do business and make some living out of it. While some go to a extend where they forget everything and just make money. They are not here to make social work. we have to understand this. For me, the most important things when you look for these consultancies is to let you know everything - when i say everything means, their benefits, pay, the process, how long they want you to commit, and others. I mean the detail  things about the process and if they stick to these things that the best one. At least they told you everything in the front and you decied whether  to join or not. I don't like the surprises in this case.

@Anusha - there is Vastika @ Dallas area, operated by a Nepali.. I know them personally. Now, DOn't assume that I am telling you that they are the best out there. and they will pay you mor ethan anyone out there. But, One thing is sure that they will tell you everything in front, so as u now have ur decisons to make soley on the info from them.. And so far they have stick to everything they had said to me.

Well I want you to do more research of your own.

thanks

@Stupida,

Thanks for your insightful comments..It's the way i feel about consultants..Most of them are "Bloodsuckers"..i don't think that both the parties benefit from this..it's the other way around..These bloodscuckers, take a sizeable chunk from ur hardearned money, do all sorts of bad things..encourage ppl to make fake resumes..and that's why genuine PPL never get jobs..

What i encourage Nepali PPL to do is to Look for job on their own..there are ways by which you can land jobs on ur own..We never try hard, never prepare hard and assume that once u have US degree we will land a good Job....

LMK if i heart ur feelings..and LMK if i can help u guys in Landing Jobs with insightful advice..

ya please present a roadmap to finding jobs coz i do need some...i went back to school to get a Masters Degree but now i am in such a pickle...i cant get even an oncampus job, no aids or anything to even help me pay for part of it ....i too was not at all for these companies until i do not have any option right now. Id be really happy have even one company that will sponsor me in my state. its not like i was a bad student ...i have good GPA, good experience and everything but i dont know which route to go which will give me a decent paycheck for once...any suggestions?

Once again, I have no doubts on the knowledge you posses, and the perspectives you bring to any topics. But one thing - We, most of us ( u will alwys find those extreme everywhere) somehow need to find a way to agree that the mere experience of an individual or a perspective or even a fact knowledge doesn't represent the "Whole".

What I will do next is a just a way of representing you or say what you do the best ( I believe ppl learn by coying or say looking at others)

"Thanks for your insightful comments..It's the way i feel about consultants..Most of them are "Bloodsuckers"..i don't think that both the parties benefit from this..it's the other way around.."

--Thanks to u too...It's what you feel; I don't. Well u can call what you want; yeha few are out there who suck as the way u refeered...I still belive both parties benefits.

"These bloodscuckers, take a sizeable chunk from ur hardearned money, do all sorts of bad things..encourage ppl to make fake resumes..and that's why genuine PPL never get jobs.."

You are right, they do take a big chunk of your money (one of the cases I know was almost 50%; pay to consultant was 110K/year, guy getting 60K/year) ...But still 60K compared to 40K @ entry level is better I think....and One Chinese used to say -- " You start cheap You end up cheap"   ..........few do give you hards time...thats why ur research is important...they do encourage ppl to make fake resumes...I do blame this to some extend for companyy who hires only ppl with 7 years of experince..."genuine PPL never get jobs"-- I don't balme anyone..I belive it's a free world. If you are smart enough u will alwys find a way to land in the job. If u have 7 years of experinece thats doesn't mean you should only get priority or get a job. If some one can perform @ ur level with just one year experinece, think what he/she will do in 7 years...blame on urself for not able to compete with new generations....Though I will be happy with 40k/50K with an entry level if i was able to find out.

I think you are just assuming this because you were able to get one. You are just a very very tiny portion of a big population. I don't doubt my hardwork nor do I doubt any Nepalese who graduates. Well, you can argue there are few hopeless cases. We all do the homework on our part. It's the company and government who makes situations worse, not the ppl....yeha u can say "consultant make worse", and believe me I agree, but who started - (gov) and who is responsible (gov)...

"

No u didn't....Appreciate ur effort..Not this time, I am happy with what I have @ the moment.....I hope you could do that to many out there, especailly in this case - Anusha....

Thanks

-I am not assuming because i got one fairly quickly..that's because there are certain ways to make something happen..As you might agree, it's planning that is Important..let me tell u my side of the story..I graduated from a dinky university, was hellof a deal to get oncampus job, once i got that my next step was to Find Internship, i started 4 months in advance to look for Job, Prepare resume and not just apply for anyjobs(i applied for those which i was comfortable with,Compiled a list of company's that may hire, send over hundred emails a day(Literally ) to these companies..If they didn't respond called them to inquire about my application..out of 400 emails i sent 2 comapanies gave me call..and that was the moment that i was waiting for..Prepared for interview for a week , looked at every detail and finally got a Job..Once my internship was over they offered me a Job in OPT (because at that time i was indispensable to them)..and here i am..

i know what u r trying to tell..Everyone has a view and i appreciate ur view and please don't make this thread like a fight between Quagmire,blahblah..

Any , @anusha can u email to me about the details about ur background
