Dear friends,
I just got a job that would pay 40000 a year. I am going to finish undergraduate in December. please suggest me if I should apply for graduate school right away or i should gain some work experience and make some money to support myself during my further studies.
Thanks for your valuable advices.

it should be realized that the addiction to money is more intense than that of books. Once u learn to lick the bills books are far away! and 40k aint nothing. so i say go for school. also, with UG degree and a 40k pay you will be colliding the glass celling pretty soon.
Basically it depends upon the individual. I assume u are above 3.25 and you can survive 5 more years with the books.
so far experiance is concerned, degree comes first. A  master/PhD  is assumed to know the basics that UGs work on, even if s/he doesn't.  too much said already......dont go for job! nepal aama needs some more masters and phds.

definately go for job...masters degree will make more sense when u have some good work experience as most of the classes require u to participare in discussions and it will be helpful if u have work experience..and lot of ppl fo part time masters while working so in fact u can do both if you really want it....make sure u are finincially secure before u go to school again

go for the job, you can go for the master anytime after 2 -3 years if you feel like finishing higher studies or if  you don't like the job. 2 years of job experience is equivalent master degree.

take the job,
do MS part time if you really want to.
sometimes companies pay for your MS and/or PHD which is one more reason to choose job.

If you do not have any loans from UG, and you can somehow manage Grad School expenses then go for Masters, if you have significant amount of loans or other commitments, then go for the job and get some experience. Again choice is yours.

job experence is imp than degree.. i have masters degree that my job requires and i work under a guy who has an undergrad degree in music..not even related to our job. has he knows how to do his job and has years of experence.. if i go tell him i want to be his boss cuz i have a higher degree what do you think he's gonna tell me... right, u got it.. . you can take the job, get some experence and take classes at the same time..  if u really want masters.. but if ur degree is in science , if they're going to pay ur full tution and u have a secure job after ur masters, then go for masters.. but if you're going to be back on job market after 2 years, and hoping someone to do h1b for you, then go for job my friend.. good luck
