A friend of mine had similar case.He sold tobacco to the minor. And the case ended up in misdemeanor. He went back to Nepal in 2008,not a problem at all.
But if you are planning to extend visa , I don,t see any chance there.

Well, do make sure to carry your work permit as well as the final court decree dismissing your case. In case the CBP officer stops you at the port of entry, you can present these documents and convince him that it was a misunderstanding and your case was dismissed by the court. In the meantime, you can come out of the illegal employment by presenting the work permit. If you lack the foregoing, you should not travel at this time. Good Luck!

hi Mr Sigdel,

Well i ended up paying fine. And case is in my history. But my employer is willing to issue a statement in case of problem at POE saying that i am his relative living with him and was just helping him while he was busy with preparation of big festival( he happens to be nepalese too). so if that happens what will be the Scenario? Do they ask question at POE or you have to write it down in form about the case? I am said that dont lie say whatever is true? is that true too?

Please help. I have started my Phd. So i am in big dilemma.
