My brother and his wife is about to apply for tourist visa.

And to make an appointment, they have to pay the fee at Nabil Bank.

My question is - Do both have to go the Bank or just one? Because they don't live in Ktm

Yes, they both need to. I have heard that they even ask the purpose of visit that embassy possibly going to ask. So, have them prepared, mentally as if they are going to interview to the consulate. hope this helps.

This is funny but people even can get the interview fees paid and appointment for interview directly from US online without physically being in nepal. how could you suggest him such irresponsibly?

as far as I know, a year ago one of my friend paid and scheduled for his and his wife's interview online from US. He was staying in nepal for only two weeks so he scheduled his interview before being there just to make sure he will be back on time.

Snowfed, I think as per RodioHead, you can help your brother going online for paying and getting interview date.

My general understanding is, no need to go two people if all papers are ready and signed properly, any body can drop it and if asked be ready to answer appropriately.

While applying visa for my mother, she did not go to Kathmandu but my brother gathered all papers and duly signed by my mother was  submitted. In the interview date all interviewee has  to be present and we should not be arguing about it.
