I am taking the following classes this semester:
* Cell Structure and Functions
* Current Topics in Cellular and Molecular Biology
* Zoology

I wanted to try an experiment with this. I want to hold an online course for this, where I, as I get the knowledge, will teach these topics as I get the knowledge from my professors. They say "to teach is to learn twice". That's why I want to see if this will work.

If you would like to be included in the Lecture series, want more information on this (background prereq, relevant textbooks/web sites, etc.), send me a private message or email at 6.02x10tothe23rd@gmail.com

This is completely free of charge! I just want to spread the knowledge and also help me study for these topics.

I like your concept. If it had been anything related to technology, I would have sent you an email.

I would love to learn and not be graded!

Thanks folks!
@Sleepless--if this is successful, I am planning on doing it for any class I take/knowledge I am thirsty for! So...maybe after this semester over the summer I will do something regarding a topic on technology. Thanks for the idea!

@NightElf--thanks for noticing :)

-------------------------------------

I am going to start the course officially on Monday, January 18. That's when I will give out the outline for the course, objectives that I want out of it, and a brief timeline. The course will be entirely independent and collaboration is a must! I am open to suggestions and teaching each other (share your relevant knowledge as well as findings!). I will be using Google Groups as the prime hub for this project, so you would have to sign up for a Google account. You can listen/watch lectures any time, and it's going to be at your own pace. I will just have an outline so that we can have some sort of structure.

I'll have online quizzes and stuff, but the grades don't matter (except to yourself--a matter of pride . We're about sharing knowledge and learning, and we'll have test tools just to assess our own mastery in the relevant subjects. Please let me know if you want to enroll by Sunday!

Thanks,
db
