Hey guys! I have the following questions regarding permanent residency and other related issues.

1. If one graduates in May with an undergrad degree and gets a job with a company that is willing to sponsor for h1b, what is the right time to apply and how is the process like?

2. If the company is willing to sponsor you for greencard, is there a good chance of getting one with just an undergrad degree?

3. Is it better to do 1 year of OPT, then do your masters, get a job and then apply for h1b? I've heard that this gives you a better chance of getting a greencard.

If your target is green card, option 3 replaces other options so no need to answer 1 & 2.

Do masters, go for H1 and later on GC. apply for it and join ASAP, why u wanna complete OPT.

Ya, option 3 is what I am seriously considering. I want to get 1 yr of work experience under my belt through OPT since I am a finance student wanting to get into a good MBA school. and as u might know, most competitive MBA programs ask for some kind of prior work experience.
